Tatami!

I finally got to clean my room and sprayed anti-tatami bug all over. I have been busy lately. I`ve been working my ass off trying to understand a new tech and lots and lots of kanji. whew!
My insomnia attacks are back so I decided to clean my room. I started around 8pm and ended around 10. I had a long hour bath after. It`s really nice to take a cool shower in the summer. (Summer here can be associated with the word `Hell`!)
I don`t have much furnitures yet. I don`t have money to buy them yet either. I have many plans to improve this abode but I would need a lot of financial support. (Something that I don`t have as of the moment.) So as of now all this will have to do.
By the way, the green thing on th
e futon is my mosquito net. It`s a trademark. I can`t sleep without it.

Yodogawa Hanabi

August 5, 2006 was a cool Saturday. We went to the park near Yodogawa River to see the fireworks display. Lots of astig "Pinoy" came with us. The fireworks display lasted for about an hour. I say, those kind of events are really great for families and lovers, huh. I guess now I can say, fireworks display can be kind of "romantic". hehehe. =)
Ivan took a lot of pictures in this event too.

Tenjin Matsuri

July 25, 2006 right after work at around 5:45 PM I rode the train heading to Umeda to meet Gloridel and go together to watch Tenjin Matsuri a festival in Osaka. Gloridel got us free tickets from through a website to watch the boat parade alongside the Dojimagawa River.
There were already many people when we got there. I met Ivan and Romsil (these are two people I haven`t met for a long time) there. I met Raneil in person for the first time that day too. I`m not a festival virgin since I`ve watch Sinulog festival in Cebu more than once so I can`t help but expect something out of this festival. As it turns out I was a bit disappointed. Still Japanese night lights and fireworks are really nice and pretty. Ivan took a lot of pictures there. Here are some of them.

Kashiwa!

May 18, 2006 - We went on a business trip to Japan to represent our company NSP in the annual SWQC Convention of NEC. We stayed at Kashiwa Plaza Hotel. That same day we had dinner at SkyLark which was approximately a 30min walk from the hotel. After dinner, we went sight seeing around the vicinity.

The famous japanese wax food display. They're so good at making this stuff, they look so real!

Cristelle, Leslie and me in prelude to the food attack.

Group Pictorial

We went to SM Colours Studio last Wednesday, January 25 to have our group picture taken. I can now consider myself a Colours Studio loyalist. From High School to college 'till my working days, my group pictures have always been taken from this studio. =)
My project group is composed of seven people. We "adopted" our previous 2 members as part of our extended family.

This is our best group picture among all that was taken that day including the candid ones. From bottom->top, left->right. - Mark, Leslie, Ryan, Me, Elbert, Jason, Cristelle, Stephanie, Rammel and Korina.
Mark - Our supervisor. He's the best there is. He even won the "Supervisor of the Year" award in the previous year. =)
Leslie - The sassy assistant Project Leader. She's always cheerful. She loves talking! ( Just like me! We talk about everything! =) )
Ryan - Mr. Joe Mari Arbolado, who poses like a movie star. He's very "malambing" and he's the most natural joker I know.
Elbert - Mr. Lady killer. Love can blossom from sharing the beauty of the stars. =)
Jason - This guy is a little secretive but he does have the same brainwaves as Ryan.
Cristelle - The Miss Universe smile. She's fun to be with. She has a naturally microphoned voice! Shhh...
Stephanie - Ms. Sporty. Always up to the physically challenging activities. A strong woman with a really soft heart. =)
Rammel - Lex the politically righteous. hehehehe.. strongly opinionated but still very caring. Never a dull moment...
Korina - Ms. Project Leader, well, before she left us for another company anyway. hehehe. She's one of the few hard core console gamers I know. (an endangered specie among women).

Sinulog 2006

Yes, this is the ultimate festival in Cebu. It's one of my favorite time of the year! One thing I love most about this event are the concert shows! There's a whole week full of them. My kind of heaven! =)

For this year, I went to 3 concerts. One was Wednesday, January 11, the next one was January 13 and the last one was on January 15. We went to Abellana Sports complex to watch Cueshe first. The show was great! I may be a little biased here since I've been bribed, they sang Queen songs, which would naturally entice me to put them at a higher level in my list of good performing artist.
Then on January 13, I went to the worst concert ever! 6 Cycle Mind was really a big disappointment. No need to elaborate on this, it's even painful to remember what they did in that concert. =( Last but not least, we watched "Parokya ni Edgar". They started to play around 1 in the morning and ended around 3. Technically, you could say the concert occured early Monday. This is my 3rd Parokya concert. The first one, I got rained on and it was in Abellana. In this one I got rained on too. But it was worth it. They are one of the best concert bands I've come accross with. Chito, the vocalist, is a master showman who can get the crowd rolling and feel alive with vibrant energy. The band's performance was commendable despite lacking one member during the show (Vinci). The last two concerts I been to, he wasn't there. This year's concert spree is not as extensive as the last but the events are still quite enjoyable. So until the next Sinulog, I will wait in anticipation for more of these events. Pit Senyor!

NSP Christmas Party 2005

December 21 was a working day. I wasn't able to go to work, I had this really painful ailment in my throat. I asked my doctor about it, she suggested that I take a CBC test. So I did, but when I called in to confirm regarding the results she said that it wasn't anything serious. The pain told me that it wasn't so! =P
I went to the party with Cathy and Bong, I was still a little feverish. What's much worse was that, I forgot to bring a jacket! Of all the plippin' things, I had to forget that! =P
I still had fun eventhough I couldn't eat much. I could only munch the already "soft" food so that they'd be painless when they pass through my throat. Wahhhh...all those other food I missed! Arrgggh!

After the party we went together to K1 in Crossroads to sing our hearts out. At first I was a little bored, towards the end I had started to enjoy it. We sang "Build me up, buttercup" together and danced to it. Actually I don't know zit about singing. I usually shout and I already consider that singing! =). My sore throat actually healed the next morning after the excessive use of my vocal facilities. Amazing! hahaha =)
That was a fun night indeed! =)

Barkada Holidays 2005

We went to Stakili, Danao to celebrate the barkada Christmas Party for 2005. The place is quite far, approximately 1.5 hours from Cebu City. Cathy and I got there Saturday night ( December 17 ) bringing lots of groceries ( junk food stuff ). Almost everyone in the jeepney towards Danao was sleeping. ( Which assuredly implies that the place is really quite far!). Our other friends were already there waiting for us. We had the usual Christmas Party stuff, the exchange of gifts then there was a lo-ho-hot of talking! We usually end up talking about college crushes. I know what you're thinking, were not pathetic! hahahaha =)
Then Ann and I went to the disco. Her boyfriend together with his friends went with us. The others stayed behind with the exhaustion excuse.
The next morning we went swimming in the pool. The beach there is not nice. It's not a white sand beach! So instead of swimming in the beach we opted for the pool. The water was cool and there weren't many people there so it was marvelous!

2005 Holidays!

We have the most beautiful children in the family! Im so proud..=)
